After the tornado that ripped through Tuscaloosa, you may remember that I met a girl named Camilla and her little boy Richard (who lost everything in the storm). For the last 7-8 months, we have developed a friendship and our church has partnered with Habitat for Humanity, Nicks Kids (Coach Saban's charity), and countless others to build her a house!!!! Today was a special day as we held a ribbon cutting ceremony and she is moving in today. It is a culmination of so many miracles big and small that the Lord has orchestrated and it has been a privilege to be a teeny tiny part of it! I have been truly amazed to see how God has brought beauty from ashes in Camilla's life and she now has a new beginning. What a wonderful picture of God's amazing grace! The house is adorable and she will never have to spend the night in her car again! YAY YAY YAY for such wonderful organizations and churches who came together to make this possible. There are many more houses being built like this all across the storm ravaged parts of Tuscaloosa. It's neat to see and be a part of. So much of our town still lies in ruins and yet there are these pockets of beauty and hope and we are so so thankful!

A pretty canvas done by a local artist, given to all the families who Habitat is building houses for...
All the local news stations were there interviewing Camilla!
Her adorable house in on a street with several other Habitat homes...but this is what still surrounds the area. Destruction and ruins everywhere. There is still so much to be done!
Thank you Habitat for Humanity for making Camilla and Richard's dreams come true!
