Wedding Weekend Extravaganza!

This past weekend, Jeff officiated a wedding of some students he discipled/invested in when we were at UGA.  At the same time, Ellie Kate was the flower girl in a wedding of our dear friends and co-workers Christie and Big D.  Originally, Abigail was going to be a flower girl too...but when I realized that I would be alone at the wedding, we decided to keep Abigail out of it.  I just knew at her age and with her shy personality that her actually walking down the aisle was very slim.  Jeff's parents came to our house to take care of Samuel and Abigail for us.  So, Ellie Kate and I had a wonderful mother-daughter weekend!  It was a LOT of fun.  We stayed at the resort where the wedding was which is nestled in the North Georgia mountains.  It was really pretty!

here we are before the Rehearsal Dinner

Ellie Kate absolutely glowed being alone with me all weekend.  She definitely enjoyed all her time with me and all the special privileges like watching the dvd player in bed until way past her bedtime:)

Day of the wedding....EK got a hold of Christie's iphone

She was absolutely so excited to put her dress on!  It was so cute to watch how much she loved getting dressed up.

Ellie Kate looked so beautiful:)

And so did the bride!  EK was mesmerized by Christie's wedding dress and how gorgeous she looked!

Practicing before the wedding

Ellie Kate was very shy walking her long walk down the "aisle"
After she walked down this sidewalk, she had to walk down the grass too.
It was a long walk for any child, but especially one that was suddenly very shy and concerned about all the people that hadn't been in the chairs before.

Ellie Kate did a great job despite all her flower petals being thrown out before she actually got to the "aisle" and despite tripping at the end because her dress was too long (my fault really).

I have it all on video and I will post it soon because it's really really really cute!
