We traveled up to Knoxville, TN this weekend with some of our best friends from college for a little getaway trip (without kids) and to watch Bama play football!  This is a tradition we are hoping to keep up every year from now on (go to a fun away game together).  It was a great start to our tradition!  We enjoyed the hours in the car catching up, talking, laughing, snacking, and singing.   We also enjoyed some really yummy (and fattening) meals out.  It was SUCH a treat and such a FUN weekend.   BAMA pulled out a W against one of our oldest rivals Tennessee.  Can I just say that Tennessee orange really is nauseating?  It's got to be one of the worst colors on the color wheel.  We walked into the student center to go to the bathroom before the game, and it was blindingly orange (YUK)!

Anyway, a big thanks to my parents who put up with the munchkins and enabled us to go away yet again.  I promise, we will probably never have a year like this again with so many trips...it has been crazy and we are blessed to have such supportive family to help us out pretty much whenever we ask!   Ellie Kate and Abigail both got sick this time.  I mean really, what is it about us leaving town and my children getting sick?  Thank goodness, our sweet family doctor and close friend called in eye drops for Abigail who had a goopy eye.  Ellie Kate ran a fever for a little while and then was back to normal thank goodness today.
