Christmas Eve
the night before christmas...ready for bed!
We ended up driving to Atlanta on Christmas Eve at the last minute (we were going to drive over on Christmas day) because of the snow that was forecasted for much of the southeast!
The Christmas Morning spread of toys for the kids...
pure delight!
playing with my dad's iphone and the talking tom app (a little cat that talks and repeats what you say into the phone)
we figured out that my dad has been wearing this same t-shirt on Christmas day for oh 25 years now!

Ever since we brought Samuel home, he has loved being the trash man on Christmas...he is going on his 5th year of doing this! I guess some things just don't ever change! It will be interesting to see when he stops doing this:)
And then we got a WHITE CHRISTMAS!!! As a child, I can remember hoping and wishing and praying that we would get snow on Christmas. I could just not think of anything more fun!!! Well, we finally got it this year. It was the first snowfall on Christmas day in over 100 years in Atlanta (where my parents live and where I grew up). This just does not happen in the deep south!!! We were very excited. It didn't start accumulating until right after dark...but we were still able to snap a few pics as the snow was falling and creating a winter wonderland. We enjoyed the snow more today, but I will have to post all of those pics later as I took a ton!

And as you can see, I had fun editing these pictures. Since we are traveling, I had to use Jeff's computer to load pics onto and so I downloaded a free trial of Adobe Lightroom (a nice editing software). It's been fun trying to figure it out!!! I have many more pictures and memories to share but for now, I have to go to bed!
We had such a wonderful Christmas full of amazing memories with family and of course the snow. As usual, we got way too much and everyone was so generous. We truly are so blessed and more than anything, we are grateful that the reason we celebrate is because of a very special baby boy who was born to save those who would believe in Him!
